Gerald Frank Thomas, age 38, of Centerville passed away on Monday, June 29, 2020, at his home in Centerville, Iowa.
Gerald was born on November 9, 1981, to Howard Thomas and Deb Giese in Albia, IA.

Gerald grew up and attended school in the Albia Community School District.

Gerald enjoyed wrestling, camping, and spending time with his family, especially his favorite cousins, Jojo and Lee. He also enjoyed “drinking beer.”

He is survived by his parents, Howard (& Melissa) Thomas and Deb Giese; his siblings: Angie (& Jim) Ford, Andy Thomas, Sarah (& Josh Scholtus) Thomas, Terra Giese, Samantha Giese, Carl Giese, Nicholas Thomas, Derrick Thomas, Curtis Wilson, Matthew Wilson, and Michael Wilson; his paternal grandparents, Howard and Lois Thomas; many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly; and his good friend, Pat.

Gerald was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Martha and Bill Malone and Robert and Patty Pryor.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 2, 2020, at the Tharp Funeral Home in Albia with Gerald’s family present to greet family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 2, 2020, at the Tharp Funeral Home in Albia, with Pastor Christy Ehrle officiating.
A private family burial will be held at a later date.
A memorial has been established to the Hiteman Cemetery.
