Franco Claims Seventh Career Weekly Award
Oskaloosa–Gabriana Franco (Sr., Tracy, Calif., Exercise Science) performed well in a strong field last week, and for her efforts she was named Heart of America Athletic Conference Women’s Golfer of the Week Monday.
The senior garnered her seventh career award (second this year) after leading William Penn at the Cumberlands Invitational last Monday and Tuesday.
Franco used six total birdies to end up in a tie for 13th at 240 (77-82-81).
For the year, Franco owns an 80.0 stroke average with six rounds in the 70s (low of 73). She has finished in the top 10 on three occasions (one victory).
The honor is the second of the season for WPU.
