Farmers Market Makes It Indoors
Oskaloosa, Iowa – The weather may be getting colder, but farmers market doesn’t have to end.
Ann Smith, coordinator for the winter farmers market says, the winter market is in place to keep the initiative going.
“Oskaloosa has a CSA program, by 5 points heritage farms, that just started in 2016. We wanted to make sure that people knew about that. Its also nice to have something to do in the community, different options. These are free events, and family friendly,” added Smith.
On December 3rd, Santa will make a stop at the market. He will be joined by Tom Terrific the balloon man, live Christmas music by the Red Letters and the Penn Central Mall trail will be running.
The market will once again feature fresh produce, home baked goodies for sale, and taking special orders for December 23 to be picked up then.
If you are a vendor and would like participate, please reach out to me by calling me at 641.672.3106 or emailing Ann Smith at annsmith@mahaksahealth.org.
