Patrick Announces Full-Time NASCAR Nationwide Series Schedule for 2012

NEWTON, Iowa — August 26, 2011 — Racing enthusiasts will have the opportunity to watch fan-favorite Danica Patrick twice next year at Iowa Speedway in Newton, Iowa. Patrick, of JR Motorsports, recently announced she is joining the NASCAR Nationwide Series full-time in 2012.

Fans witnessed a very exciting season at Iowa Speedway this year, which included two sold-out NASCAR Nationwide Series races. Patrick participated in the Iowa Corn Indy 250 presented by Pioneer last June, and with her new schedule, she will compete at Iowa Speedway twice in the NASCAR Nationwide Series during 2012.

“We know our fans love seeing Danica Patrick race,” says Iowa Speedway President Jerry Jauron. “We look forward to hosting her twice during the 2012 season when the Nationwide Series visits us.”

She will also be competing in 8 to 10 NASCAR Sprint Cup races in 2012 with Stewart-Haas Racing.

Iowa Speedway’s 2012 race schedule and season ticket information will be announced in September at www.iowaspeedway.com.
