Oskaloosa, Iowa – Special moments in time happen in an instant, and often in unusual places. A car accident scene isn’t normally one of those places.

On Friday afternoon, The Oskaloosa Police Department and the Oskaloosa Fire Department was called to the scene of a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of A Ave East and North 3rd Street in Oskaloosa.

Jessica Clubb and her daughter Erica were involved in the accident. While police and fire fighters worked the scene, Erica sat on the curb upset and crying.

A donated teddy bear carried on board an Oskaloosa Fire truck, and some calming words by Mahaska County Deputy Ben Johnston helped to make a scary situation a little better.

According to Jessica, young Erica is fine after the accident.
