Edmundson-Statesmen Junior Golf Association to Resume Soon

William Penn University Athletics

Oskaloosa–Edmundson Golf Course and the William Penn University women’s golf program, in conjunction with Harvest Point Golf Course, are again partnering together for the Edmundson-Statesmen Junior Golf Association (ESJGA) to provide a summer-long opportunity for junior golfers in and around the Oskaloosa area.

The Association will give juniors (ages 4-18) the opportunity to participate in ESJGA “junior days” where they can play from three to nine holes on six different days throughout the summer at either Edmundson Golf Course or Harvest Point Golf Course. Members of the WPU women’s golf team and Edmundson Golf Course staff will be on site each day to facilitate the junior days.

Association membership fees are $50. Sign-up days are June 12 and 13, while a free clinic will be available with PGA Champions Tour Professional Jerry Smith from 10 a.m. until noon on June 12.

The ESJGA will also have a season-long points competition, where juniors will receive credit for playing, hitting range balls, taking a lesson, practicing short game, or participating in a junior golf camp. The top three players in the points standings will earn prizes for their accomplishment.

For more information, contact WPU Head Women’s Golf Coach Nik Rule at rulen@wmpenn.edu. Interested individuals can also stop by Edmundson Golf Course or Harvest Point Golf Course for an information packet which will be available at the course on June 2.
