Eddyville-Blakesburg varsity volleyball nails another win

Eddyville-Blakesburg Schools

Eddyville-Blakesburg’s varsity volleyball team rolled to another conference win over Albia on Tuesday evening. Coach Gladys Genskow commented on the team. “Great conference win and another step closer to our goal. We came out really flat at the start of the match and never did gain excitement throughout the night. That set the tone as to how we played the match. We struggled with passing, but seemed to execute out of system to get the win. Our schedule from here on out is a tough one and we will have to step up our level of play to stay competitive. The team is ready and excited for the challenge. We play next at the Newton tourney on Sat. This tourney has a lot of tough competition which will make us better going in to our last conference match with Chariton next Tuesday night for the conference championship.”
