(EBFHS Rocket Chorale performs at State Large Group Contest)
On Saturday, May 4th, the Eddyville Blakesburg Fremont Concert Band and EBF Rocket Chorale performed at State Large Group Contest at Mid Prairie High School in Wellman. Bands and choirs at the contest were evaluated in several categories by a panel of three judges. The music groups were rated on their performances using a scale of 1 through 5. A I rating indicates a superior performance. The EBF Concert Band earned a I rating and the choir was only one point away from a I rating. The EBFHS Concert Band has earned a Division I rating 24 of the last 25 years. The choir performance was excellent. The directors were very proud of both performances.
Following the performance at State Large group Contest, the band traveled to Kansas City where they competed at the Worlds of Fun Festival of Music placing 1st in their class.
