EBF Jazz Band Competes at Contests
(EBFHS Jazz I performs at the Indian Hills JazzFest)
The Eddyville Blakesburg Fremont Jazz Band has been busy performing in competitions. On Saturday February 9th, EBF traveled to Southeast Polk where they placed 3rd in class 2A. These students earned outstanding soloist awards for their solo performances: Grace Manternach; flute, Tara Diephuis; tenor sax, Zach Edgren; flugelhorn, Natalie Nemitz; vibes, Delanee Van Zante; alto sax, and Cameron Kolthoff; guitar.
On Saturday February 23rd, the EBFHS I traveled to the Indian Hills JazzFest where they placed 1st in class 2A. The following students received outstanding soloist awards for their solo performances: Andrea Burger; trombone, Eric Schutt; trombone, Cameron Kolthoff; guitar, Tara Diephuis; tenor sax, Julia Fairchild; vibes, Jacksen Kargol; trumpet, Delanee Van Zante; alto sax, Grace Manternach; flute, and Natalie Nemitz; vibes.
