Early Lead For Pella Seals Fate For Oskaloosa Indians Varsity

Oskaloosa Indians Varsity fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 10-0 loss to Pella on Thursday. Pella scored on a home run by Isaiah Kettler in the first inning.

The Oskaloosa Indians Varsity struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Pella, giving up ten runs.

In the first inning, Pella got their offense started. Kettler hit a solo homer.

A single by Wyatt Grubb in the second inning was a positive for Oskaloosa Indians Varsity.

Keegan Hansen led things off on the pitcher’s mound for Pella. Hansen surrendered zero runs on two hits over three innings, striking out six.

Aiden Hildenbrand started the game for Oskaloosa Indians Varsity. The hurler lasted one and one-third innings, allowing five hits and five runs while striking out one and walking one. Grubb threw three and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Colin Snitker, Charlie North, and Grubb all had one hit to lead Oskaloosa Indians Varsity.

Pella scattered eight hits in the game. Kettler and Hansen all collected multiple hits for Pella. Pella didn’t commit a single error in the field. Quinn Rhamy had seven chances in the field, the most on the team.
