Deborah Mattix, 68, of Rose Hill, died Saturday, June 10, 2017, at the MHP Hospice Serenity House in Oskaloosa. She was born October 14, 1948, in Fremont, Iowa, the daughter of Warren and Mildred Beach DeSelm.

Deb graduated from Fremont High School with the class of 1966. Following high school, she was united in marriage to Joe Mattix at the First Christian Church in Oskaloosa. To this union two sons were born Todd and Josh. Deb and Joe later divorced.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother in law, Roland Heimstra.

As was Deb’s wish, her body has been cremated.
No services are planned.
