Daily Youth Theatre To Hold Performances

Daily Youth Theatre

Oskaloosa, Iowa – Daily Youth Theatre’s after-school program Stage Academy will be performing this Thursday and Friday, March 8 & 9. Thursday’s performance is Finding Nemo, and Friday’s is Deja Clue, based on the classic board game and movie. Both performances begin at 7:00 p.m. at the George Daily Auditorium, and are free and open to the public.

Students who participate in Stage Academy rehearse two or three times a week after school during a six-week session. During this time they learn about teamwork, self-expression and creativity, and work with their fellow students to put together a live stage production. This session, 17 middle school students and 26 elementary students have participated.

The shows this week mark 30 productions for Daily Youth Theatre in less than two years. During that time, the program has had a total participation of 600 students.
