Oskaloosa –Women’s fitness franchise in Oskaloosa recognizes Debbie Carlson on her special recognition by Curves International.

Debbie Carlson, a Curves of Oskaloosa Circuit Coach and Assistant Manager, was recently recognized for winning one of seven “circuit coach hero” awards. The competition was open to clubs in the US and Canada.

“We are absolutely thrilled with Debbie Carlson for demonstrating such commitment and dedication to the women she serves. She is a true inspiration to all of us,” said Teri Cirbo, owner of Curves of Oskaloosa, located at Penn Central Mall. “Debbie’s recognition created a buzz in the club and we’re excited to share that with everyone, including the local community of which she is a huge part.”

“The Circuit Coach Hero promotion exceeded our expectations. There were nearly 6,000 nominations for Circuit Coaches who go above and beyond to do their part to help make millions of women stronger. We always knew we had a great team in the field, but to read all of the stories was an amazing privilege. All the nominees have the characteristics of a “Circuit Hero.” They are role models who are dedicated, helpful, loyal, protective, respected, selfless and strong,” said Curves International.

Curves’ exercise program works every major muscle group with strength training, cardio and stretching in every thirty minute workout. Members are encouraged to exercise at the club a minimum of three times a week. The program includes all five components of a complete exercise program: warm-up, strength training, cardio, cool down and stretching.

Gary Heavin and his wife, Diane, are considered the innovators of the express fitness phenomenon that has made exercise available to more than four million women worldwide. With more than 10,000 locations in dozens of countries, Curves is the world’s largest fitness franchise. Curves International is celebrating 15 years of franchising this year.
