Charlotte Kitzman, 66, of What Cheer died Friday, February 2, 2018 at the Crystal Heights Care Center in Oskaloosa. Charlotte Joan Kitzman was born September 12, 1951 in Oskaloosa, Iowa the daughter of Raymond James Newcomb and Ramona Irene Vermillion.

Charlotte was a 1969 graduate of Tri-County High School.

In 1970 she married Sid Kitzman. Born to this union was a daughter Shelley. Then in 1986 she was united in marriage to John Null on New Year’s Eve.

Charlotte worked at John Deere in Ottumwa for several years before taking a position with her father at the Patriot Chronical Newspaper. After the family sold the Newspaper business Charlotte worked at Victor Plastic for fifteen years. As her father grew in age she graciously assumed caring for him fulltime until his passing in 2011.

Charlotte enjoyed fishing, but only if they were biting, watching the food channel and doing anything that involved her grandchildren. She was selflessly devoted to her family and always made certain they had what they needed, even if she had to go without. Charlotte will be remembered as a friendly, fun loving, kind and hard-working women who loved her family unconditionally.

Charlotte is survived by her husband, John Null of Oskaloosa; a daughter, Shelley Kitzman of What Cheer; a brother, John (& Melody) Newcomb of Florida; three granddaughters: Haley Kitzman of Ottumwa, Sydney Schultz of South English, and Ava Schultz of What Cheer; two great grandchildren, Addyson Anderson and Greyson Schultz. She also leaves behind her aunt, Delores Newcomb of What Cheer; a sister-in-law, Debbie (& John) Morten of Wichita, KS, a close cousin, Cindy Bartlow of Rose Hill; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, Jeffery Alan Kitzman; an infant daughter, Alisha Marie Null; and a nephew, Shannon Newcomb.

Visitation with the family will be held on Sunday, February 4, 2018 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Holland-Coble Funeral Home in What Cheer.
Funeral will be held privately.
Interment will be in the Barnes City Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
