Candidates For Oskaloosa Elections Set

Oskaloosa, Iowa – The field has been set for elections in November, for the City of Oskaloosa and the Oskaloosa School District.

For the Oskaloosa School Board, the races to serve on the Board are all uncontested.

Incumbents Amanda McGraw and Sharma Parlett have filed their candidacy papers. McGraw serves as District 1 Director, while Parlett serves District 3.

Charlie Comfort has filed paperwork to run for District 4 Director. He is unopposed and could fill the seat of outgoing Director Craig VanHulzen.

Shawn Moyer has filed his paperwork to serve as Director for District 6 on the Oskaloosa School Board. Erik Edgren currently serves in that position and has chosen not to run again.

Both Comfort and Moyer have previous Board experience.

Oskaloosa City Council will see no change unless a write-in campaign is launched.

The incumbent candidates are, Joe Caligiuri, Steve Burnett, and Bob Drost. Caligiuri serves in the At-Large position, while Burnett serves Ward 4, and Bob Drost serves Ward 2.

David Krutzfeldt is the incumbent Mayor of Oskaloosa, and he is running uncontested as well.

Voters will head to the polls on Tuesday, November 5th, 2019.
