Bunce, Hargrove Bidding for Podium Spots at Nationals

Oskaloosa–Kael Bunce (Sr., Stockbridge, Mich., Mechanical Engineering) and Cameron Hargrove (Jr., Bolingbrook, Ill., Sports Management) are back for another shot at the nation’s top grapplers as they battle at the 67th Annual NAIA Men’s Wrestling National Championship Thursday through Saturday.

The Championship, which will be in Hartman Arena in Park City, Kan., will feature a format change with six sessions being held over the span of three days. Thursday’s first session of the double-elimination event will start at 11 a.m., including one round of both championship and consolation bracket action.

At 157 pounds, Bunce, who is making his second appearance at NAIA Nationals, will be unseeded with an 18-8 record. The senior will open this trip against #8 seed Keegan Luton of Oklahoma City who is currently 21-4 on the campaign.

Meanwhile, 165-pounder Hargrove, who is taking on the national field for the third time in his career, owns a 29-12 record. The unseeded junior starts his week versus #16 seed Elliott Rogers of Marian (Ind.) (10-6 record).
