Bryce Wehrle, 52 of Lynnville passed away unexpectedly Monday morning, September 10, 2018 at the Pella Regional Health Center. Bryce James Wehrle, the son of Norman and Loretta (Wanders) Wehrle, was born on January 25, 1966 in Pella, Iowa.

Bryce grew up in Taintor and graduated from North Mahaska High School in 1984.

After high school, Bryce began working at Precision Pulley at the age of 18. He worked there for 34 years.

On September 12, 1992 Bryce married Antonette Baker at the Barnes City United Methodist Church. They became the parents of two sons, Blake James and Grant Paul.

Bryce loved spending time with his family and attending their activities. He loved camping with family and friends at the Iowa State Fair for over 40 years. He enjoyed barbecuing and smoking meat, spending time with his friends and Lynnville-Sully Hawk football.

Bryce’s memory will be cherished by his parents, Norman and Loretta Wehrle of Taintor; his wife, Antonette Wehrle of Lynnville; his sons, Blake James Wehrle and Grant Paul Wehrle both of Lynnville; his brother, Brian (& Jan) Wehrle of New Sharon; and his twin brother, Bruce (& Kim) Wehrle of Montezuma; niece, Morgan Berstler of Montezuma; nephews: Jake Berstler of Montezuma, Matthew (& Elizabeth) Wehrle, Landen Wehrle and Caleb Wehrle all of New Sharon, Isaac Faasse and Will Faasse both of East Grand Rapids, MI; parents-in-law, Bill Mason of Ankeny and Kathi Mason of Ankeny; Sister-in-law, Shauna (& Todd) Faasse of East Grand Rapids, MI; a brother-in-law, Paul (& Ryan Tomlinson) Mason of Cambridge, IA; and his relatives, PPI coworkers and a host of good friends.

Bryce’s family wants to extend a special thank you to Dr. Collitier, Deanna, Rich and Crystal and the rest of the caring staff at Mercy Cancer Center in Des Moines.

The family requests you dress casual or in your favorite Lynnville-Sully Hawk fan gear or Iowa State Fair attire.

Funeral services will begin at 10:30 am Thursday, September 13, 2018 at the Sully Community Church. Holland-Coble Funeral Home of Montezuma is in charge of arrangements.
Lunch will follow the service.
Burial will be held at the Barnes City Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 12, beginning at noon with the family present from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the Sully Community Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Lynnville-Sully Hawks football program.
