Brooke VanHouweling finishes strong at State Cross Country

Brooke VanHouweling finished her season with a trip to the state cross country meet in Ft. Dodge, running a season best time of 15:49 to finish in 42nd place.  “I thought Brooke ran well today.  She looked a little nervous and probably didn’t finish as high place-wise as she wanted to, but I thought she did well for her first state meet.  Everything is always a little different at this meet, but she had a good run and it was good experience to build on for next season.  Brooke is a talented runner and had a great season this year.  I hope that she has some great memories from this experience.  It’s always good to finish with a strong run which she did.
