Brent Towns, 44, of What Cheer, died at home on Wednesday, May 29th, 2019. Brent William Towns was born November 10, 1974 to Larry and Joan (McCallister) Towns.

Brent was a member of the Tri-County class of 1993.

Brent worked construction and farm jobs after high school. He was also a mechanic and could tear apart and work on anything. His Mom tells a story of Brent as a little kid, taking apart a faucet and getting it to work for her.

Brent loved guns and hunting. He was a sharp shooter that never missed. He was very proud of his accuracy, and has even been known to hit two birds with one shot. He also loved the outdoors, mudding, mushroom hunting, and sharing his finds.

Brent enjoyed children and bringing friends to the farm to see the animals. He would tell kids, “Tuck and roll” if they tumbled. He was always being called upon to help friends, and would help whenever he could.

His biggest accomplishment was his daughter, “Kelsey Marie the Bumble Bee.”

He is survived by his parents; his daughter, Kelsey Towns (& Cully Spears) of Rose Hill, IA, and expectant grandson; a brother, Jamie Towns of Ladora, IA; three sisters, Amy (& Travis) Johannes of Montezuma, Kelly (& Les) Taylor of Brooklyn, IA, Lana (& John) Kinzebach of Montezuma; several nieces and nephews; and

He was preceded in death by his brother, David Towns.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 2, 2019 at 2:00 pm in the Jackson Cemetery at Rose Hill, Iowa.
No visitation is planned.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family.
