Boswell names Julie Stauch as new Iowa Chief of Staff
Des Moines, IA — Congressman Leonard Boswell announced today that Julie Stauch will join his district office as the Iowa Chief of Staff.
Stauch will be responsible for overseeing the 3rd congressional district office which is located in Des Moines, including developing and implementing policy objectives, strategies, and operating plans for the district.
“Julie Stauch has been a tireless advocate for all Iowans throughout her life’s work, and I know that she will bring that same commitment and passion to the constituents of Iowa’s 3rd District,” Boswell said. “I have worked closely with Julie during both of our careers in public service and I am confident that she will be a strong leader and advisor for our congressional district office.”
Stauch most recently served as Chief Public Affairs Officer for Planned Parenthood of the Heartland in Des Moines, and has deep roots in Iowa. She is a graduate of Iowa State University and has also worked at Pioneer Hi-Bred International in Johnston and at the Iowa Department of Justice. Stauch has more than 20 years management experience in the political and public realm, including serving as Boswell’s congressional reelection campaign in 2002.
“Congressman Boswell is a champion for the 3rd district in so many ways. Whether it is the great work he does through transportation/infrastructure or agriculture, he focuses on using his role in Congress to help his constituents across the 12 counties of the district,” said Stauch. “The opportunity to lead his team and to expand my own knowledge of the district is very exciting to me.”
Stauch will begin working in Boswell’s congressional district office in March.
