Book Sale Helps Provide Money To Educate

AAUW [American Association of University Women] Book Sale Recycles Books And Helps Women Get An Education utilizing scholarships at William Penn University. Also helping out is the Friends of the Oskaloosa Public Library.

Oskaloosa, Iowa – October means it’s time for the AAUW Book Sale inside of Penn Central Mall.

Volunteers spend all year sorting donated books, preparing for the massive 4 day sale that begins at 10 am Thursday morning, going until 8pm Thursday and Friday, and Saturday is 10 am to 4pm while Sunday hours are 12 pm to 3 pm.

Thursday and Friday, it’s a dollar a book, or 6 for $5.00. On Saturday its bag day, you can fill a bag and it’s only $5.00. Sunday the remaining items are free.

Cheryl Benson was at Penn Central Mall putting on the final touches for the sale.

Benson hopes that people will come visit the sale, and those who enjoy VHS tapes and cook books are in for a treat this year.
