Oskaloosa, Iowa – On Friday May 18, 2012 Bobzilla’s Bike Shop and the Mahaska Wellness Coalition (MWC) invites the community to join together and ride a bicycle to work. Bike to Work Day is a free event for both new and experienced bicycle commuters. ExDrink flavored water or energy drinks will be provided to participants who have 5 or more riders from the same job site: Team names & job site supervisor permission must be included in the email.

An average 150-pound person will burn about 500 calories riding a leisurely—paced 30 minutes to work and 30 minutes home. At that rate, you’ll shed those extra, stubborn 5 to 10 pounds in about two to three months (Source Bike League). “Stay healthy, feel good and join us in riding a bike to work”-MWC-
