Belgian Waffles coming to 1st CRC Oskaloosa
The Youth Group of the First Christian Reformed Church invites members of the community to a waffle supper featuring Dad’s Belgian Waffles, Wednesday, November 15 from 5-7 pm at 1st Christian Reformed Church, 815 N 11th St., Oskaloosa serving all-you-can-eat Belgian waffles, nine flavors of syrup, whipped cream and butter toppings, sausages and drink. Dine in or carry out boxes available. Free will donation will be taken with proceeds to support the youth group’s summer 2018 mission trip.
The name, IGNITE, was the name chosen by this group in an effort to be more inviting and caring. What was formerly known as Young People’s and Youth Group is now IGNITE — based on the Bible verse 2 Timothy 1:6, “For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you.” Through attendance at IGNITE, the youth in grades 9 through 12 at 1st CRC Oskaloosa and Bethel Christian Reformed Church will be in an environment helpful to discover and utilize their gifts to God’s glory. Community youth are invited to join at any time.
