Ava Ritenour, 17 month old daughter of Alicia Ritenour of Oskaloosa died Friday, January 24, 2014, at her home in Oskaloosa.

Ava was an energetic beautiful and intelligent baby girl. She would smile and dance to any song that she heard.

Her family includes her mother: Alicia Marie Ritenour; maternal grandparents: Tina & Bryan Ritenour of Oskaloosa; aunts and uncles: Derrick Ritenour of Oskaloosa, Brent (& Amanda) Ritenour of Oskaloosa, Kodie Ritenour of New Sharon and Catrina (& Charlie) Shilling of What Cheer; her cousins: Aiden Ritenour, Hattie Ann Shilling and Bryer Shilling; maternal great grandparents: Bonnie Teffeau of Delaware and Sally & Louie Schmitz of Millersville, Maryland; great aunts and uncles, Chadd (& Amy) Teffeau, Julie (& Dean) Breasure, Laura Adkins, Dawn Maxwell, Keith Ritenour and Vicky Wisner.

She was preceded in death by her maternal great grandfathers: Charles Teffeau and Rick Ritenour; and two cousins: Samantha Marie Steinhart and Kaylee Sue Ann Bishop.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 30, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. in the Bates Funeral Chapel in Oskaloosa with Reverend Bruce Thompson officiating.
Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Cemetery in Oskaloosa.
Visitation will begin Thursday after 9:30 a.m. in the Bates Funeral Chapel and the family will be present at the funeral chapel from 9:30 a.m. until service time to greet friends and relatives.
