USS Iowa holds change of command ceremony

Kyle Haubold delivers remarks during a change-of-command ceremony for the Virginia-class nuclear-powered fast-attack submarine USS Iowa (SSN 797) aboard the Historic Ship Nautilus at the Submarine Force Museum in Groton, Connecticut, Aug. 28, 2026, as USS Hyman G. Rickover (SSN 795) passes along the Thames River. During the ceremony, Haubold relieved Cmdr. Gregory Coy as Iowa’s commanding officer.
