Register for $5,000 in Purchase Vouchers!

Art on the Square announces $5,000 in purchase vouchers will again be available for this year’s event. Main Street Oskaloosa’s 46th annual Art on the Square will be held on Saturday, June 14 in the Historical Downtown Oskaloosa Square. Thanks to a generous donor, $5,000 has been made available in the form of Art on the Square Purchase Vouchers. Raffle tickets are available for $5.00 each or 5 for $20.00. The $5,000 purchase vouchers are from $100 to $500, and the winning tickets will be drawn at noon at the Bandstand. Your stub must be presented at the time of the drawing, and purchase vouchers must be spent with the artists at Art on the Square that afternoon. The proceeds from the raffle will go to the Fine Arts and Cultural Entertainment group of Oskaloosa.

Artists come from several states. The selection is always great from paintings, pottery, photography, wooden furniture and accessories, dried flowers, garden accents, jewelry, and much more. Art on the Square will include music, children’s activities by ISU Extension, as well as food vendors and local restaurants providing a great selection of food. Food vendors include Hy-Vee, Tasos’, Mahaska Drug’s SnoBiz, and Grubby’s Kettle Corn.

The Up & Coming Artist display will be on the northwest corner of the square. Or perhaps you would like to take in the Historic Walking Tour led by former Jr. Main Street member Charlie Comfort. The tour is designed to take you back in time. Sample the rich history and feel the unique atmosphere of Oskaloosa’s town square. Tours are at 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm.

Make plans now to purchase your raffle tickets and consider making a commitment to shop at Art on the Square. Only by purchasing items can we assure a quality show each year with returning artists and attracting new artists. For more information contact Fine Arts and Cultural Entertainment and/or Art on the Square at the Chamber/Main Street office at 641-672-2591.
