AAUW Book Sale Needs Your Donation
Oskaloosa, Iowa – The AAUW Book Sale is one of those annual events area bookworms don’t want to miss.
Cheryl Benson with the Oskaloosa AAUW says that books are collected all year long, and the group begins to sort them in April, with their sale being in October.
Benson says they need more books to help fill the need of providing funding for advanced education and research for women from around the world, and scholarships for women students at William Penn University.
Donated books are dropped off and stored at SHARE Iowa, and Benson says that a quick phone call to SHARE before your arrival will make it easier when you bring your books. You can reach SHARE Iowa at 641.673.4000 during their regular business hours. “We like to get them in now,” added Benson.
The group will be sorting on Saturdays from 8 to 10 am on August 26th, and on September 9, 16, 23, and 30 inside of Penn Central Mall.
The group’s annual sale will be on October 5th through the 7th, with the 7th being the bag sale day.
