AAUW Book Sale Going On Now
The AAUW Book Sale is once again taking place at Penn Central Mall in the center court
Oskaloosa, Iowa – In its’ 46th year, the AAUW book sale is in full steam at the center court in Penn Central Mall. “It’s amazing, isn’t it, that it continues, and all these books show up every year,” said Dianne VanGorp
The donated books are stored at Share Iowa where they also have a drop off location for those interested in donating their books for next years sale. “They are very kind to donate space for us to store our books,” VanGorp said.
The sale will continue on Friday during mall hours and will then conclude on Saturday with a bag sale from 9 am to 2 pm. Left over items starting at 3 pm Saturday and going until 3 pm Sunday will be free.
Books, Games, Puzzles, Tapes are $1.00 each or Six for $5.00 (price drops to 50-cents each after the first 30 items/$25). Children’s Books are . Magazines are $1.00 for large and 50-cents for small, and Romance Novels are just 25-cents each.
Some book genres available are: Fiction, Non-Fiction, Biography, Art, Music, Religion, Home Decor, Gardening, Sports, Science, Nature, Animals, Psychology, Health, Cookbooks, History, Education, Computer, Business, Reference, Mystery, Westerns, Sci-fi, Poetry, Literature, Drama, and more!
The AAUW Educational Foundation provides funding for advanced education and research for women from around the world, and scholarships for women students at William Penn University.
