The Wind Plays A Factor At The Preserve
by Coach Bret Foster
Quite the day at The Preserve today. The weather started off as perfect, and Osky played well, probably the best stretch of play we’ve had all year. Then the wind hit and our scores suffered. It was possibly the windiest conditions I’ve seen at a high school meet. The players battled but could not overcome as much as other teams did. This should be a learning experience for us if we let it be.
Austin Hafner finished with an 83, Hogan Rockhold 84, Noah Van Veldhuizen 91, Carter Parks 91 and Lucas Bunnell 98.
The team finished tied for 5th out of 20 teams.
Varsity will be back in action tomorrow at Fairfield.
