Lukoseviciute is MWC Track and Field Performer of the Week

GRINNELL, Iowa – After a performance that resulted in national recognition, Grinnell College’s Agne Lukoseviciute ’21 has been named the Midwest Conference Women’s Track and Field Performer of the Week.

Lukoseviciute, from Darien, Ill. (Hinsdale South), earned the award for field events. She made her mark nationally at Saturday’s Dick Young Invitational in Grinnell. The Pioneer uncorked a winning toss of 175-9 in the hammer, obliterating her own school record by more than 12 feet with an effort that ranks third in all of NCAA Division III.

Lukoseviciute also won the discus with a throw of 138-6, bettering her personal best by more than eight feet and recording the 24th-best throw in D-III. She added a runner-up finish in the shot put with a throw of 39-7 ¾.
