Both Boys And Girls Finish 3rd At 92nd Osky Relays

The Indians were back on the track on a beautiful Saturday here at our home meet at Lacey Stadium. The boys team came away with 3rd place in the 11 team competition overall. We started and finished the meet with gold medal performances! Our Sprint Medley Relay team of Aaron Blom, Casey Hill, Brayden VanKampen, and Carter Huyser broke the previous school record again in 1:36.57 and our 4×400 Relay team of Carter Huyser, Ike Schultz, Patrick DeRonde, and Brayden VanKampen finished the meet with gold in a new season best time of 3:33.71. Many of our young men were in competition today setting 25 new PRs and 5 of our 7 relays ran season bests. It was great to see our men setting and breaking lots of goals today, now on to our next meet Tuesday when we travel to Fairfield!

The Osky Girl’s track and field team came home with a third-place finish at the Osky Relays on a beautiful Saturday in April. Two individual champions were crowned for the team. Sophia Dykstra in the discus with a new personal record of 122-5 and Emma Kelderman in the 400 hurdles with a time of 1:07.1.
11 new personal records were set for the team as well as 3 new season bests in relays.
The girls showed a lot of guts today with almost all athletes competing 3 or 4 times. The team will be in action next week on Thursday when they travel to East Marshall.
