A Mahaska County Sheriff’s Office Press Release

The Mahaska County Sheriff’s Office is pleased to announce that they have been selected as a grant recipient by the Mahaska County Community Foundation. The Sheriff’s Office will receive $12,000 from the MCCF.

These funds will be used to purchase new Automatic External Defibrillators (AED’s), to be carried by the entire patrol staff, as well as within the jail. Research has shown that multiple lives have been saved by the use of AED’s by Law Enforcement Officials.

The Sheriff’s Office anticipates these new AED’s being delivered and this program up and running within the next three months.

The Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the Mahaska County Community Foundation for their generosity and appreciates being selected as one of the grant recipients.
