Interment: Forest Cemetery in Oskaloosa, Iowa

Larry passed away Sunday evening at Northern Mahaska Nursing and Rehab. at the age of 78 years, four months and sixteen days.

Larry Jack Hightower, son of Roy Jackson and Maxine Louise Richmond Hightower, was born August 10, 1932 in Oskaloosa, Iowa. He was a 1951 graduate of Oskaloosa High School. He enlisted in the United States Air Force January 30, 1952 in Des Moines, Iowa; he served with 464th Supply Squadron and was discharged January 29, 1956 at Pope Air Force Base, Fort Bragg, North Carolina. While in the Air Force he married Marilyn Shaw April 13, 1952 in Oskaloosa. Larry worked for many years at Clow Valve Company and Pella Corporation. He was an active member of St. Paul Congregational United Church of Christ.

Larry is survived by his wife Marilyn; a daughter, Rhonda (Loren) Van Zante of Eddyville and a son, Randy Hightower of Oskaloosa; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, George Earl.

Memorials may be made to St. Paul Congregational United Church of Christ or to Stephen Memorial Animal Shelter.
