Elizabeth Jones

Funeral services for Elizabeth Jones, 89, formerly of What Cheer will be held privately at a later date. Interment will be in the Garrett Cemetery near Delta.

Elizabeth Esteling Jones was born May 15, 1921 in Bloomfield, Iowa the daughter of Estel K. Jones and Elizabeth Ellen Lawson. She grew up in the Bloomfield area and graduated from the Bloomfield High School in 1941. Elizabeth then enrolled in college where she studied nursing care. Elizabeth worked at the Manor House Care Center for several years before retiring. On Wednesday, December 22, 2010 she passed away peacefully at the Manor House in Sigourney.

She is preceded in death by her parents, four brothers: Leland Hadsell, Richard Hadsell, Glen Junior Hadsell and Curtis Hadsell; and a sister, Earlesteen Jones.

Elizabeth is survived by her sister Gwen Bird of What Cheer and many nieces and nephews.
