Oskaloosa Boys Tennis Defeats Albia
Albia, Iowa – The Oskaloosa Indians opened their season on the road at Albia.
Head Coach Tony Witt said, “Everyone played well tonight in some windy conditions. Good solid win and playing from everyone tonight. They played some smart tennis with the windy conditions.”
In Varsity Singles, Nick Harrington (O) defeated Drake Mckim 8-4. Cade Snakenberg (O) defeated Ethan See 8-1, while Colton Stout (O) defeated Quintin Boland.
Also winning over Albia was Nick Reiter 8-6 over Barret Bonnett, and Sam Carmichael defeating Edison Goodlow 8-5. The lone loss was Albia’s Jaden Hugen 8-6 over Brad Klucas.
In doubles, Oskaloosa swept Albia 3-0 for a 8-1 team win over the Blue Demons.
