WPU Wraps Up Regular Season at Last Chance Tournament

Pella–A small crew hit the mat Saturday to represent the Statesmen wrestling team at the Central Last Chance Tournament.
Heavyweight Sheldon Rodriguez (So., Tampa, Fla., Biology) headlined William Penn’s efforts by taking second with a pair of falls.
Darquell Pierre (So., St. Petersburg, Fla., Sociology) also claimed runner-up honors at 133 pounds, including winning once by technical fall.
Kameron Maynard (Fr., Miami, Fla., Sociology) was third at 141 pounds, matching Rodriguez and Pierre with a pair of victories.
Next Up: William Penn travels to Baldwin City, Kan. next Saturday to compete in the Heart Championships National Qualifier. Action begins at 9 a.m.
