Investigation Leads To Multiple Drug Charges
Oskaloosa, Iowa – Oskaloosa Police made an arrest after a package was reported stolen from a porch.
As a result of the investigation, police say that drugs and stolen items, including Victoria’s Secret underwear and bed sheets, were recovered.
Tammy Tolles is facing charges of 5th Degree Theft, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Controlled Substance Marijuana, Unlawful Possession of Prescription Drug.
The court document reads, “On December 15, 2017 at approximately 3:04 PM Officers of the Oskaloosa Police Department were dispatched to a call of a white female on a bicycle wearing an Army camouflage coat, that had stolen a package off a neighbors porch at 710 4th Ave East and headed South on South 7th Street. Upon responding to the said location Officers located the female in the 800 block of 6th Ave East. The female matched the above description. Officers stopped the female and asked her where she was coming from, and she stated she was coming home from the thrift store. Officer observed that she had a small cardboard box tucked into he[r] coat. The Female advised she had found the package along the roadway. After speaking with the female for a short time she admitted to taking the package off of a porch. The female was identified as the above defendant. Officer arrested the Defendant and she was read her Miranda Rights. Officer noticed a bag hanging off her bicycle. The Defendant gave Officer permission to search the bag. In searching the bag the Officer located a glass smoking device containing a white residue. The Defendant advised that the substance was Methamphetamine. The Defendant admitted to smoking Methamphetamine earlier that morning. The white residue later field tested positive for methamphetamine. Further searching of the bag resulted in finding a bag coin purse that had a small baggie with a green leafy substance inside. The defendant advised that the substance was Marijuana. The green leafy substance later field tested positive for Marijuana.”
A second affidavit filed states, “On December 16, 2017 at approximately 7:32 PM Officers of the Oskaloosa Police Department and Deputies of the Mahaska County Sheriff’s Office conducted a search warrant on 816 6th Ave East, Oskaloosa IA 52577, to search for drug related items and stolen items. Officers arrived and entered the residence and encountered multiple individuals and the above female who is the Defendant. Once the scene was secured, a search of the residence was conducted and resulted in the locating of multiple glass smoking devices with residue inside, used to smoke Marijuana and Methamphetamine, in multiple places inside the Defendant’s bedroom. The residue tested positive for methamphetamine and Marijuana. Also located in the said bedroom were multiple baggies containing white residue that were field tested, with a positive result for Methamphetamine. Also, 6 pills were located in the bedroom and identified as Methocarbamol, which is a prescription only pill. Located in the closet were 18 pills of Montelukast sodium in an unlabeled pill bottle, which are a prescription only medication. Also located in the bedroom were multiple pairs of Victoria’s Secret women’s underwear ($37.00) and Pottery Barn bed sheets ($100.15) that were reported stolen.”
