Indians Roll Over Washington 83-50
Oskaloosa, Iowa – The Oskaloosa Indians improved their young season to 6-0 on Tuesday night as they hosted the Washington Demons.
Senior Jared Kruse lead the Indians in the scoring department with 22 points. Xavier Foster added 19, with Junior Cole Henry adding 17 more.
Senior Spencer Tucker and Foster each pulled down six rebounds, with Cole Henry adding five more rebounds to the Indians efforts on the boards.
Oskaloosa outscored Washington during all quarters of play except the fourth quarter, when the home team emptied their bench, allowing their young players some valuable time on the floor.
The Indians started the night cold, but Oskaloosa Head Coach Ryan Parker said that his team played the second and third quarters, “more like us.”
The Indians are a fast-paced team, and Tuesday was no different. Parker says it’s difficult for many teams to be able “to run with us.”
“Xavier, Cole, and Jared are really athletic. We just like to run, and our guys have fun with it,” added Parker.
Parker says that his team is confident “in what they can do, and it’s showing. It’s a really fun team to be around and coach.”
Parker is happy for where the program is at currently, and the opportunities it’s bringing for the kids, “living through this moment.”
