Oskaloosa, Iowa – Lieutenant Craig Alexander is well known for his kind and gentle manner of dealing with the students at the Oskaloosa School District, where he served as the Resource Officer for several years.

Alexander’s last working day on the force was June 22nd, 2017, but he is officially on vacation until mid-July. He will then take on the next passion of his life – opening a home repair business.

Alexander says that his time with the police was a good experience, and he’s met a lot of decent people in the community. “I probably wouldn’t change a thing,” says Alexander, of his more than 30 years in law enforcement.

“It’s time to do a few other things while I still can, and I’ve totally enjoyed it all.”
