Everyone Escapes Injury in Leighton Fire
Leighton, Iowa – The Pella Fire Department was called to a house on fire located at 304 Reid Street in Leighton on Monday evening.
According to Pella Fire Chief, Doug Van Gorkom, there were no injuries reported with the fire that did some structural damage to the residence.
Pella sent four apparatus trucks to the scene and twelve firefighters fought the blaze. Pella Fire was assisted on the scene by the Mahaska County Sheriff’s Office.
