Margaret Jane Morrow, 91 of Montezuma, died June 14, 2017 with her family by her side. Margaret, the daughter of Harold and Sarah (Sadie) Cummings Bone, was born on September 29, 1925 In Montezuma.

Margaret graduated from Montezuma Community Schools in 1943 and worked at the Montezuma Telephone Office as an operator before becoming a wife and mother.

She was a wonderful cook and worked at Montezuma Community School as a Cook for many years. Many students were fond of her Turkey in the Straw.

Bob Morrow and Margaret were united in marriage on November 29, 1944 in Troy, Kansas. They had three daughters, Sarah, Vivian and Susan.

Together, they enjoyed making spritz cookies and oatmeal chocolate chip cookies at Christmas for their children and grandchildren, in addition to attending many seasons of Hawkeye football games. Some of Margaret’s favorite things to do were watching the Iowa Hawkeye football and basketball teams, reading, and doing puzzles.

Margaret is survived by her children: Sarah (& Jerome) Sheets and Susan (& Peter) Morrow; her grandchildren: Rachelle (& Bob) Stewart, Cory (& Holly) DeJong, Lori (& Brian) Blomme, Kari (& Terry) Vannoy, and Cassandra (& Spencer) Roberts; great grandchildren: Grace, Natalie and Evie Stewart, Madelyn and Sadie DeJong, Melana and Janessa Blomme, and Ashley and Tyler Vannoy; step grandchildren: Tim Sheets, Tom (& Mary) Sheets and Becky (& John) Dagle; step great grandchildren: Kelsie Sheets, Kiegan (& Colin) Watts, Brynna (& Jake) Vande Noord, Carly Steele, Elizabeth and Daniel Dagle; and a sister-in-law, Elaine Willis.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Bob; her daughter, Vivian; brothers, Lorence and Harry; and her parents.

A private graveside service will be held for immediate family.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Montezuma Fire Department.
