Oskaloosa–Emily Brown (Jr., Waverly, Iowa, Biology) picked up one final award for the 2017 campaign as she was selected to be on a National Fastpitch Coaches Association NAIA All-Region team.

Brown became the program’s 44th NFCA all-region performer as she was named to the second team as a catcher.

The first-team all-Heart of America Athletic Conference honoree hit .350 (55-for-157) with 11 doubles and a team-best five home runs this spring. Brown tallied 33 RBIs and 24 runs scored, and also posted a .516 slugging percentage and a .391 on-base mark (nine walks, three hit-by-pitches).

She owned a five-game hitting streak at one point during the year.
