Two other Oskaloosa residents also sustained injuries in the accident.

Grinnell, Iowa – The Iowa State Patrol reports that three individuals were killed in an accident south of Interstate 80 along Highway 146 on Friday afternoon.

The call for help came in at 4:10 p.m., with the Iowa State Patrol, Poweshiek County Sheriff’s Office and Grinnell Police Department responding to the scene.

The initial report states that the northbound vehicle crossed the centerline striking the southbound vehicle head on.

Those who were killed as a result of the accident include: Paul Randall, age 31, of Grinnell,  Rosa Santos, age 65, of Oskaloosa and Lourdes Taylor, age 67, also of Oskaloosa.

Two others were injured in the accident, Gloria Smallwood, age 59, and Thomas Taylor, age 69, both of Oskaloosa.

The accident remains under investigation by the Iowa State Patrol.
