Coffey Hired As Mahaska County YMCA Program Director

Nick Coffey

Nick Coffey has been hired as the Mahaska County YMCA’s Program Director. He is a familiar face at the Y due to his work at the Member Services desk since December 2016. Coffey has a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Administration and has experience in program development and has worked as a personal trainer. He was involved with the William Penn University’s basketball team from 2006-2010, has had previous experience with athletic clubs, enjoys developing and implementing fitness and training programs, and has acquired excellent communication and marketing skills throughout his career. He considers himself a people person and loves getting to know individuals as well as helping them work on healthy goals.

“I look forward to expanding my work with the Y as its new Program Director,” said Coffey. “I have enjoyed my time at the desk and getting to know many YMCA members, but I am really looking forward to the challenges and new experiences being the Y’s program director brings.”
