Oskaloosa, Iowa – The Christmas spirit is spreading and Nashville recording artists Kassie and Ben Wilson recorded and produced the fun, light-hearted song “about a crazy family around the holidays,” says Kassie.

The video for the song titled “Season Greetings” was directed by Ben, an Osky native and husband to Kassie.

Kassie says, “This was my first video. It’s a fun, light-hearted song about a crazy family around the holidays. I think everyone can really relate to this song in some way. Everybody’s got a couple crazy but lovable relatives. It’s from my brand new album ‘Family Ties,’ which is available on kassiemusic.com, iTunes and Apple Music.”

The music industry can be tough and the couple continues to make music full time, which Kassie says “is the most successful thing I could ask for.”

“We may not be on the scale of where I would like but I am living my dream daily with the man of my dreams. If and when God wants to take us on a bigger “stage” I am ready for that, too!” added Kassie.

When it comes to the creative Christmas video, “It was all Ben’s idea,” says Kassie. “He is so talented and super creative. He came up with the storyboard and everything. He had the idea to record the whole video in half time and then he sped it up to full time after the filming. That’s why the movements in the video look so “frantic.” It is a cool ‘trick’ that video directors use. (Also, I am actually lying down on the ground for the entire video, if you didn’t catch that.) This video was all done at our house and Ben and I were the only ones involved in the creation of it. It was such a new and fun experience that we’ve never done before.”

The couple has an interest in some young people in Rwanda and have travelled to the African nation several times during the past 5 years. “It means so much to us,” says Kassie.

“We go with a non-profit called ‘Go.Be.Love.’ and we have been on teams and now we lead teams. We have truly fallen in love with the country of Rwanda and it’s beautiful people. We work with different ministries and churches while in country. We also sponsor two little girls, named Kevine and Diane. They are major reasons we keep going back. We sponsor them through His’ Chase’ organization (hischase.org) and Under’ His Umbrella’ (underhisumbrella.com). We highly recommend those organizations and are in contact with the founders personally. We even wrote a song about Kevine, whom I met 5 years ago (and she stole my heart) called “To the Moon” which is on Ben’s album ‘Wilson.’
