PELLA — Women’s soccer player Erin Manion (freshman, Delafield, Wis., Kettle Moraine HS) and men’s cross country runner Mark Fairley (junior, Dubuque) represent College College this week on the Iowa Conference performers of the week list.

Freshman paces scoring attack—An increased workload from the freshman striker has resulted an increased goal tally. She scored twice against the University of Dubuque Saturday having previously chipped in a goal against Nebraska Wesleyan on Wednesday. She also assisted the game-winning goal in overtime against the Prairie Wolves. Her four goals in conference play is tied for the best across the league.

The Dutch (12-2-1) will look to continue their hunt for a conference title with a road match at Buena Vista University Wednesday at 4 p.m.

Fairley drops career-best mark— Racing at the Connecticut College Invitational and its oceanside course, Fairley breezed past his career best of 25:12 with a time of 24:50. It was good for a fourth-place finish in a loaded field that featured three-ranked programs. Fairley has three top-10 finishes already this season.

Central is off this weekend before going to Storm Lake for the Iowa Conference Championships hosted by Buena Vista.
