Cathy Burdock, age 50, died Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at the Keokuk County Health Center in Sigourney. Cathy was born November 29, 1965, the daughter of Albert and Jeanette Mikaelsen Carlson.

Cathy was an animal lover. She always had to have a pet in her home, from saving bull snakes, to bottle feeding baby raccoons. When you walked into her home you were bound to find some sort of animal.

Cathy enjoyed watching movies, crafting, facebooking and talking. On Sundays you would find her in front of the TV cheering on Dale Jr. When it came to Cathy’s three daughters she would do anything she could to put a smile on their face. She took every opportunity to embarrass them, from dancing out in public to giving them hugs and kisses no matter where they were. Cathy made it clear to everyone that she loved her daughters and grandchildren unconditionally.

Cathy leaves behind three daughters: Bobbi (Zack Mauck) Davison of Ozark, MO, Kayla (& Cody) Kerkove of Delta and Shellbi (& Joe) Goldman of Delta; a special life friend, Wade Booth of Fairfield; a step father, Paul Fragoza of Sacramento, CA; a life parent, Tarsha Carlson of Sacramento, CA; a brother, Charlie Carlson of Sacramento, CA; a sister, Michele Fragoza of Sacramento, CA; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and the loves of her life, her six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Jeanette Mikaelsen Carlson.

As was her wish, her body has been cremated.
A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Holland-Coble Funeral Home in What Cheer.
No funeral is planned.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family.
