Adelaide “Adie” Lee Morrow, 47, of Ottumwa and formerly of Albia, died Sunday, August 14, 2016, at the Ottumwa Regional Medical Center in Ottumwa. Adelaide Lee Morrow was born May 24, 1969, in Santa Clara, California, the daughter of Michelangelo “Meka” and Margaret Smith Morrow.

Adie graduated from Ottumwa High School with the class of 1987. She continued her education at Indian Hills Community College earning her arts and sciences and her L.P.N. degrees. Adie earned her cosmetology certificate from Iowa School of Beauty in Ottumwa. She was currently working on becoming a registered nurse.

Early on she was united in marriage to Rodney Brown, the two of them later divorced. On October 28, 2001, she was united in marriage to Jobie Lowe in Ottumwa, Iowa.

Adie entered the workforce at the age of 16 and worked various places. Her last few positions were selling insurance for AFLAC, and making calls for APAC Telemarketing in Ottumwa.

Adie enjoyed attending the Free Methodist Church in Ottumwa. She liked to swim, hunt for bargains on eBay, and watch television and movies.

Her family includes her husband, Jobie Lowe of Ottumwa; her daughter, Ann-Janette “Jenna” Lowe of Ottumwa; her father, Michelangelo “Meka” Morrow of Ottumwa; her paternal grandmother (who was like a mother to her), Rosie Morrow of Ottumwa; a step sister, Carrie Burns of Ottumwa; aunts and uncles that she was raised with and she thought of as siblings: Stephen Morrow of Ottumwa, Jeff Morrow of California, Karen (& Mark) McVey of Ottumwa, John (& Kate) Morrow of the Quad Cities, Kathy (& Maritn) Vince of Australia, and Mark (& Janice) Morrow of Oregon; her close friend and his daughter, Wayne Jones and Chelsea Jones both of Albia; and many cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother; and her grandfather, Loren Morrow.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 18, 2016, at 7 p.m. in the Bates Funeral Chapel in Oskaloosa with Reverend Tim Ward officiating.
As was Adie’s wish, her body will be cremated following the funeral ceremony. The Bates Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will begin Thursday after 2 p.m. in the Bates Funeral Chapel and the family will be at the funeral chapel from 5 p.m. until service time at 7.
Memorials may be made to the family.
