Online Bill Pay Now Available For Water Customers

The Oskaloosa Water Department has made online bill payment available for its customers.

Oskaloosa, Iowa – Making it as easy as possible for customers to pay their bills was one of the goals of the Oskaloosa Water Department. This past month, bill payment came online for their customers.

Oskaloosa Water Department Manager Chad Coon spoke about the new option, and how it will impact the water department’s customers.

Coon said that the board and staff have been working towards the monthly billing program, citing customer requests that the change take place over the past quarterly billing process.

“We realize that both water and sewer had significant increases this year”, Coon said, adding that this was a step to help customers. “For those to whom quarterly billing is a struggle, the board looked at this very seriously and what it would take to move to monthly billing”.

Not only has residential moved to a monthly basis, commercial accounts have moved to monthly billing as well. The billing date has changed as well, from the 25th of the month, to the 15th of the month.

That will mean the first monthly payments will be due on July 15th, and every month afterwards.

The monthly billing kicked in July 1st, and you can now find the option to pay your bill online on the City of Oskaloosa website, located here: http://www.oskaloosaiowa.org/

You will see an icon at the bottom left hand side of the page that says, “Pay My Water Bill”. That will take you to https://www.municipalonlinepayments.com/oskaloosawater, where you sign up for an account.
