Lacey Recreation Complex was packed with eager youth and anxious family and friends ready to cheer their team on! Local USSSA team, Sweet Heat, hosted the Spring Fever Frenzy at the 5-plex bringing in over 50 teams to the Oskaloosa area. In addition to all the softball action, Babe Ruth hosted two double headers while Mahaska County Soccer Club packed the fields on the north side of 238th Street. Parking lots were full and every field was lined with folding chairs. Almost 120 games were played during the course of the weekend and MCRF will continue with the busy weekend schedule for the next four weeks. Kandis Klyn, MCRF Activities Manager, stated, “We have officially reached the peak of our spring season. The stands are full of cheering fans, the youth are sporting smiles and laughter is easy to come by. Lacey is the place to be!” For pictures of all the action be sure to check out MCRF on Facebook at www.facebook.com/mcrf.laceyrecreation.
